OPEN 1st Place AND People's Choice "Ghosts" Art Hughes 1st Place: (Foggy Morning?) both judges agreed that this was an exceptional images that stood out because of it’s simplified subtle visual mood, beautiful presentation, and over high level of technical qualities.
OPEN 2nd Place "The Road to Character" Gloria MacDonald This image captured a decisive moment that tells a story of the older man deeply involved in reading his book. Then upon further visual exploration the image juxtaposes an out of focus younger person looking closely at his cell phone. Two different generations with two different technologies ... a great story.
OPEN 3rd Place "Three Little Bears" Linda Burek This image stood out because it captured a beautiful moment of a mother bear and her cubs. It was technically, compositionally, and aesthetically excellent.
